Bringing Canadians
and the EU closer

The European Union in Canada aims to increase public knowledge and understanding of EU–Canada relations. We designed a social media strategy and brand to bolster these efforts.

Communicating shared values and goals

The European Union Policy and Outreach Partnership supports the EU’s diplomatic activities, including public and partnership engagement in Canada. To fulfill the objectives of this program, the EU must communicate in a way that reflects the informational desires and differing perspectives on what is considered relevant and newsworthy.

We used our experience in segmenting and speaking with each audience in their own terms and on their own turf to create a comprehensive social media strategy and brand identity. We rooted all messages and design in the common values and goals that Canada and the EU share.
